Account Deletion at a Glance

Use this page to request deletion or anonymization of your HappyChef account and associated account data. HappyChef is operated by LDA Prep Labs LLC.

You do not need the app installed to make this request. Requests are sent to [email protected]. Send the request from the email address associated with your HappyChef account when possible so we can verify and process it.

Before You Request Deletion

Account deletion is intended to delete or anonymize your HappyChef account and associated account data. This action may not be reversible once completed.

Deleting your HappyChef account does not automatically cancel a subscription billed through Apple, Google Play, or another app store. If you have an active subscription and do not want future renewal charges, cancel it through the store that billed you.

What Will Be Deleted

When we process a verified account deletion request, we delete, anonymize, de-identify, or restrict personal information associated with your HappyChef account, subject to technical limits, legal requirements, and legitimate business needs.

This may include account-related information such as:

email address, username, profile details, and account credentials
saved recipes, imported recipe content, and recipe photos
meal plans, grocery lists, dietary preferences, goals, and settings
friend, sharing, support, and account activity information

What May Be Retained

Some information may be retained where allowed or required, including information needed for legal, tax, accounting, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, backup, service-quality, or recordkeeping purposes.

De-identified, aggregated, or anonymized information may also be retained when it is no longer reasonably linked to your identity. Some shared or social content may remain available to others if they have their own access to it or if it has been de-identified.

Timing and Verification

We may ask you to verify your identity before acting on a deletion request. Verification may include confirming the email address on your HappyChef account or asking for your username or other account details. If you use Sign in with Apple and Hide My Email, please include the Apple private relay email address shown on your account if available.

We aim to complete verified account deletion or anonymization requests within 30 days unless a longer period is required or allowed by law, security, backup, or operational needs.
